I know I haven’t posted much but all of you bees have been such a help to me during the planning process that I want to share some pics! We were married this past Sunday at the Semper Fi Memorial Chapel in Quantico, VA and had our reception at the National Marine Corps Museum next door. The day, although stressful to begin with, turned out awesome! Beautiful weather, beautiful ceremony and reception. As a surprise to my groom and the guests, I had an Obama impersonator walk in and do our toasts! It was priceless! In one of the pictures, the secret service took out one of our guests because she was a Dallas Cowboys fan! To all the soon to be brides, the day goes by so fast, take a moment to collect yourself during the ceremony and take it all in. There were parts of the day that seemed to have been a blur because it is just so overwhelming but it will be one of the best days of your life!

Thank you so much! It was awesome. Before “Obama” walked in, our DJ played “Hail to the Chief” and I overheard some of the guests say “Oh what, is the president going to show up”? and here comes “Obama” walking in. It was awesome!!

totheislnds: My husband retired from the Marines last year after serving 21 years. My brother who was our “bearer of the rings” (he’s 38) retired from the Air Force and wore his uniform. I didn’t think he would but he showed up with it on. I don’t have a pic back yet of him but I was so happy to see him wearing his. I hope your brother pulls through for you. We didn’t have a wedding party, my parents walked me down the aisle and my brother was the ring bearer. Maybe your mother can explain to your brother how much it would mean to you for him to wear his uniform.

Here is a pic of the front of my gown, it is from Eternity Bridal. I wanted something unique and completely different. I’m 44 years old (husband is 41) and this is my first (and last!) marriage. Goes to show you, it’s never to late to find your special someone!

My husband had NO CLUE about “Obama” showing up. I wish I could have seen his face when “Obama” came walking in. I had a DOC and she was the only other person that knew about him. When the time frame spreadsheet was being created, we put in one of my girlfriends as the person giving the toast. So girlfriend = Obama lol. When I turned around and saw the Secret Service walk in, then him I was like OMG! He looks like him!! Here are more crazy pictures I was sent by friends.
