Well…you can file a complaint, but short of returning the placeholder ring and getting your money back I doubt there is anything you can really do other than leave bad reviews. I mean, they aren’t going to compensate you monitarily or give you a free ring.

I don’t blame you, that’s just totally unacceptable, considering you ordrered your ring LAST YEAR. I would definitely return the placeholder, get a refund, and go to someone else to have a  ring designed.

@kyerabeeyork:  Wow, I’m surprised you put up with them for this long. I would have said forget it when it didn’t show up by the end of January. You’ve given them too many chances as it is; return the ring and bring your business somewhere that deserves it.

I would report it to the Better Buisness Bureau, Wedding Wire, and Angie’s List.

I would definitely return, get my money back and then go online and make some noise about their customer service.

@JenGirl: seconded. they are a hot mess. we ordered my band, Tacori HT2510B, it came in in about 6 weeks.  it was pre-sized to the perfect size because we also got my matching Tacori e-ring from there and they knew my size. we took it back a week later for engraving, engraving was done in two weeks, we picked it up, boom, done.

and that’s how it should be. anything short of that, they’d be going to the BBB, Angie’s List, etc.

@kyerabeeyork:  go ahead and let him know you plan on reporting him to the BBB and Angie’s List, he may give you some of your money back and still give you your ring – IF – it ever comes in.

    How terrible!

I agree with the other Bees, leave some negative reviews online so other people will be forewarned. There’s no excuse for such poor customer service. I would also write the store a letter of complaint, not sure if it’ll do anything, but I find most places usually respond to that.

    Good luck!

Woah, this jeweler is unreliable and does bad business. You should tell him you blog about bridal jewelery online and will write about this (which you have ;). I’d get my money back for whatever I could get and never do business there again.

I purchased a ring at a store that took longer than expected to resize my ring (had to be sent out because it was rose gold) and they called me to explain the delay. I think delays are fine as long as they are explained with an apology. Not having your band for your wedding is unacceptable. I know stores here in Toronto that would absolutely do everything they can to accomodate that request, if the ring was purchased in advance.

Sorry this is happening to you. Really sucks! Hopefully you have a good experience elsewhere ๐Ÿ˜‰

@kyerabeeyork:  I eacho everyone on this thread. I’m happy you made the decision you did. You are quite patient, so opposite of me. When it comes to customer service, I have zero tolerance. He’s lucky it wasn’t me, Lol. Any who, you wedding band is just lovely! I love the gap. I think it gives the wedding band attention of its own. I’m happy for you.

@kyerabeeyork:  the Berricle ring looks really beautiful! I purchased my wedding band from Sundari Gems on Etsy and it was a wonderful experience. They have some that are very similar to the Berricle one & the customer service was amazing.

@kyerabeeyork:  I actually really like the gap. My rings have a gap and I don’t notice it at all. I take my engagement ring off to run on a treadmill and that’s the only time. I’ve banged it up one too many times while running. I like the straight band by itself rather than a curved band. So glad you got something though.

I’m glad you got your money back! That was 1000000% the RIGHT Decision!!  Your story sounded a LOT like my debacale with my original e-ring and the original jeweler we used… it was a nightmare situation.  We also were patient and polite while they gave us the run-around for months, so I totally understand the frustration and disappointment you must have felt while dealing with your bad jeweler.

Good luck in your search for a new wedding band!!  ๐Ÿ™‚
