I can’t believe the big day has come and gone! It was an amazing day!
The ladies got ready at our house, Fiance and his boys got ready at the hotel.
My hair appointment ended up starting about 15 minutes late, and the lady doing my hair was also the owner of the salon, so she had to go deal with the receptionist not knowing how to do her job a few times, so I ended up finishing my hair a half hour late, which wasn’t the end of the world but it was enough to stress me out thoroughly.
My dress was a tight fit, I had to wear my backup Spanx, but I felt amazing in it!
The limo ride to the church seemed like the longest drive of my life, but we ended up being almost 30 minutes early for the ceremony!
It was an amazing, sunny warm day, and so we got to have a grand entrance from outside through the main double doors of the church.
The ceremony was shorter than I expected, but it went off without a hitch! (Well almost. The minister anounced that it was time for the reading and everyone heard “rings” so the Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man handed him the rings super early. So when it came time for the rings, he already had them and dropped mine while placing them on the worship book. And my veil and hairpiece fell off as we were leaving the church. But other than that, it was amazing!)
One of my friends got this one of me while I was waiting in between family photos.
I don’t have many photos from the reception yet, but it was awesome!
There were some hiccups. Like the videographer that my Mother-In-Law hired for us last minute who apparently came with a photographer and got in our faces all through dinner, and even got in our photographers way a few times. And the DJ seemed to slowly turn up the volume as the party went on.
But dinner was DELICIOUS. I was nervous that it would be only so-so, because it’s different cooking 1 or 2 of something versus cooking 150 but they blew me away!
The only time I sat down was to sit with one very drunk bridesmaid as she had a cup of coffee to help sober her up before her cab ride. The rest of the night was dancing, or wandering the reception talking to family.
So excited that I’m finally a wife! It feels like I have been planning forever, so I don’t know what I’m going to do in my free time anymore haha.
