I have worked on reality shows so I don’t buy the bs they are selling with their drama-agenda editing, but I watched this show because the first season was actually sweet at times And I like escapism as much as the next person:-)
The second season felt exploitive and cheap, though.
I was troubled by the male host who accused Jess and Jackyn of being “angry”. Um, yeah. Welcome to 2015, where women are allowed to get angry when they are lied to, cheated on and/or threatened. He made it sound like it was half and half responsibility. That was really a missed opportunity to denounce stalking and threatening people in general. Plus, well done for putting Jess at risk because they failed to get these men.
Gross. I won’t be watching it again, they cheaped out and got lazy and it shows.

Second season was awful. I don’t know if I have any interest in another season.
I wonder if the experts suffered pressure from casting directors or producers- or if their pool to match from was limited by such elements. There might have been more interesting/compatible/committed candidates that just weren’t “tv material.”
I found Davina insufferable the whole season and this reunion is no different… She needs therapy, not a matchmaker. But frankly she lost me at he beginning when she said she refused to marry a person with her same ethnicity: self-hatred alert! I’m all for the swirl buuuuut it’s a red flag when you discriminate against yourself, lol!
Sean and (Jaclyn’s) Ryan were both snoozes. Jessica’s Ryan was a certified douchebag and had a similar mentality to Davina in terms of believing he was the center of the universe. I worried for Jessica because she seemed easily defeated and he was really condescending, dismissive, and aggressive… It was like he could just shred her self-esteem at any given moment.
Jaclyn wins the “most likable” award. She seems fun to be around, but I couldn’t live with her. She’s a lot, and I’d need breaks. I thought it funny that Ryan’s accent annoyed her at the beginning! I was like, “have you met yourself?!”
I think she can do way better than Ryan, though. His eyes are so beady that it hurts me (among other lackluster qualities).

I think they owe the women a matchmaker to help them find a true mate, well all except Davina lol! I think she needs some self-help before she is matched up with anyone. She is very selfish IMO.
