I’m going to try and keep this on the shorter side. I’m not really good at recaps, so I’m just going to write what’s in my head. This whole thing is so overwhelming (in a good way)
I don’t have any pictures yet except ones from our photo booth, so I will share one of those.
Yesterday, I married the man of my dreams. I was really excited, yet calm all week. I slept well, even the night before. I didn’t get nervous during hair and makeup until one of the girls announced it was 2pm and we had an hour until the limo was coming. By the time I got into the limo, my heart was in my throat. But the moment I walked through the church doors and saw him, I was fine. It was a simple, half hour ceremony that everyone seemed to really enjoy. Both of us could not stop smiling. Since I wore my ballgown (Disney Cinderella!) I was proud that I didn’t trip over my dress, though there were a few moments during the night π
We took lots of photos outside the church, it was really hot outside and a big gown does not help. Then we headed to the reception for a nice cocktail hour, with the photo booth already set up.
Let me tell you – the photo booth was a total hit. Everyone loved it, even my British and somewhat uptight grandparents were in there taking silly photos. At the end we have a photo album with guest photos and some fantastic messages and well wishes from them.
The food, the speeches, the dancing – it was all fantastic. can’t even begin to describe how amazing last night was. Of course, nothing can ever go off without a hitch. My biggest disappointment was my hair. My beautiful curls lasted for the ceremony, but because of the heat and humidity they didn’t last long. By the time the reception came, they were really coming out. It upset me, but I look at the big picture and there could have been worse things happen.
I loved every moment, having my family and friends there, they all said it was the best wedding. That meant the most to me. I cannot believe it went by so fast! The word husband is already so strange to me.
Anyways, here’s the one photo booth picture I have. I can’t wait to get back from our honeymoon in Jamaica to find the pictures from my photographer (who is also a good friend).
