Did you airbrush? Did you DIY? Did you use a make-up artist?
i know, for sure, that i want to hire a make-up artist… but i’m not sure the difference between airbrush and regular makeup… i know airbrush is supposed to last longer, but is it worth the extra cost and extra effort of scoping out a decent makeup artist who does airbrushing in the greater detroit area?
thanks in advance! please post pics from your day if you have them!!

I went regular makeup artist at Clinique. I had Super Fit on my face….all freakin’ day (duh), hot humid St Louis weather and I didn’t get sweaty OR red-faced like normal. I’m part korean and I flush when I drink and I was worried about my photos.
The lady did all our faces =]

i had a makeup artist, no airbrush. i would have (i’m all for splurging on your wedding day if it’s worth it, and i think that’s one thing that would be) but our make up person is a family friend and doesn’t do airbrush. it was fine for me though, we didn’t dance, it was cool out, so it lasted all night.

YES! I took pepcid AC also! But i’ll still flush a little when I take pepcid but I’ll still flush through it. It only tones it down but it’s better than nothing! And i drank quite a bit at my wedding and I looked fine in photos (excpet maybe the half hour i started getting glassy-eyed and tired and just worn out) but i was really impressed with the makeup being able to keep my skin from getting blotchy. having a tan probably helped too–it’s less obvious in the summer. But man, I stressed about getting red for MONTHS.

I went the airbrushed route for my wedding day and am sooo glad I did! It really did last all day and it was very lightweight and flawless. My makeup artist only charged an extra $10 for airbrush, so it’s not like it broke my bank or anything. ;o)

I ended up doing my own makeup (but watched a lot of bridal you tube videos!). I tried getting pampered on my day, but a lot of makeup artists just made me look older, I’m 40 and they just didn’t get it which I was really surprised about. You would think they would know how to make me look stunning but I didn’t like any of the looks nor did my fiance so I did it myself and I’m SO glad I did! All of my girld did their own makeup as well and everyone looked amazing….so if you can’t find the right makeup artist, just know you can do it if you have to!

I did my own. It wasn’t much different from what I do for going out. I took more time and made sure to fix any mistakes, but I was pleased with how it turned out.
We had a fairly small wedding during the day, so I didn’t need anything dramatic.
