Hi ladies! My photographer took amazing photos, and we got the proof book and a flash drive with most of the photos just a month or two after the wedding, so I was pleased with that.
Since then, I was suppoed to have received a link to an online gallery through a third party site (photoshelter) for my guests and me to order prints. I never got the link, and my photographer seems to think it’s my fault (she thinks it’s a problem with gmail, but it worked fine for my enagement photos) and it’s my responsibility to figure it out.
Also, I have asked her numerous times for the album (also in contract) and she is slow to respond or tells me it’s on it’s way, etc.
I was just wondering what others’ experiences were with their photos. Did you have to track them down? Did you have to chase your photographer around to get the services you paid for?
I am really disappointed because she is a really great photographer and a cool person, but she’s turning out to be so flakey. I’m very grateful I do have the majority of the photos on disc already and that they are lovely, but still.

@jackieee: I had to do a little bit of chasing. Our contract stated that it should take about 8 weeks to get our pictures, which would have put us sometime around December 21st. Well, the first week in January I started emailing our photographer. It turns out she had been sick and also had a death in the family, which I understood. that’s a lot to deal with. Well, rather than send us our pictures on a CD, she sent the high resoultion pictures by email. I would receive 20-3o pictures per file, and received just over 600 total edited pictures. That was a bit annoying. She also kept forgetting to send certain ones, so who knows if I actually received all of them. I absolutely LOVE the ones we do have though!!
I will say this-Our photographer is not a full time wedding photographer. She does photography for a magazine and has several other projects she is working on. I’m not saying this excuses everything, but sometimes artists are a little harder to pin down with certain things!

@Brideonabudgetlauren: Thank you for your reply. She sounds similar to my photographer, so I know is a very busy artist as well. I feel like I’ve used that to excuse her flakiness in the past with our engagement photos–she’s an artist!
But I also paid almost $3000 for my photos and album, so it’s not like she’s doing me a favor. My wedding was in June. She told me the album would be done in September.
At least I’m not the only one who has had frustrating experience 🙂

@jackieee: Uhm yeah, that is unacceptable. She told you it would be done in SEPTEMBER of last year?? I would mail her a freaking calendar. That is insane!
