Nope.  No sense wasting good cake!  We didn’t even want to do the whole feeding each other thing…

yes. overall my wedding had a fun theme, with a downplay on sophistication. cake smashing seemed to fit right in.

Only a TINY TINY little bit. Lots of fun. Just a little frosting mess, but no damage to the hair or dress, and small enough bit of frosting that he licked it off.

    πŸ™‚ Fun, but not hideous.

@MrsFarmer: I love how he is opening his mouth while he is feeding you lol He looks as if he is demonstrating (or its just a reflex like opening your mouth when putting on mascara) haha very cute πŸ˜‰

@Courtni89:  I think its the mascara reflex!  I think its super cute too (but of course, I’m biased!)  I told him that he’ll be very good at feeding our babies one day! πŸ˜‰

I told my husband in advance that cake-smashing is grounds for anullment.

No smashing when I’ve spent that much time and effort on my makeup!

I spoke with my Fiance about the issue of cake smashing.  We came to the same conclusion.  Then when you care for someone and respect them, you don’t go out of your way to publicily humiliate them.  We both agree, its just not on.

So no, No cake smashing for us!!!!

Plus I could just see my kids thinking it was funny and start smashing food into each others face on a daily basis.  Scarey thought that one.

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: LOL! Funny story: two of my college buddies tried to bribe me into smashing the cake in DH’s face. I politely declined. Turns out my friends had approached Darling Husband earlier with the same bribe, only to be turned down. πŸ™‚

I don’t understand the “uptight-ness” and disrespectful stuff, but I guess people feel what they feel.

I, personally, cannot wait to smash cake πŸ™‚ I can’t imagine us not having a little fun with it!
