We booked our honeymoon!!! I am so excited to spend 8 nights in Negril, Jamaica! We also bought our wedding rings in the past week.
My question for you is did you wear your ring(s) on your honeymoon? We are staying at a safe resort but I am not sure if its worth it? We are going on a Dolphin swim and we can not wear jewelry and I dont really want my rings getting all sandy, etc.
I know that some people get a fake ring to wear and I am considering that, however, I dont think my fiance would wear a fake one?
What do you think?

I had every intention of wearing mine on our honeymoon the first time (Disney) but it was SO hot there and I was so swollen I left my engagement ring in the safe most of the time and just wore my band. When I went on vacation a few months ago to the Dominican, I left all my diamonds at home out of sheer paranoia…but everyone else wore theirs and were fine. I’d say bring it, make sure your hotel has a safe that is secure for when you’re at the beach and then you’ll have it at dinner and in some of your pictures.

our honeymoon involved a lot of outdoor activities like fishing, boat rides etc and I didnt want to lose my ring so I wore a dummy ring

I left my expensive engagement ring at home and just wore my cheaper wedding bands.

I left my engagement ring and one band at home since they had diamonds in them. I wore my plain rose gold band.
We went to Africa and were spending time on safari and scuba diving and it didn’t feel appropriate to be wearing lots of sparkling diamonds.
Plus for most beach/pool activities I had to leave the one ring I did have in the safe anyway because sunscreen + sweat meant the ring slid right off in the water!

I have been wondering what to with mine also, not sure if I’m taking them with me or leaving them. I just hate to not be wearing them.

I wore it the whole time. They are VERY snug on my fingers.

I wore mine on my honeymoon with no problems. The only time I took it off was when we went snorkleing (i’m terrified of the ocean and know shiney things attract sharks/barracuda – i know, call me crazy haha) but i left it in the in room safe which made me a bit nervous but ultimately turned out fine.

I wore my wedding band the whole time but left my e-ring in the safe for the most part.

Thanks for the advice! I love my e ring and I am so excited to wear my matching band. I can’t imagine taking it off the day after I get it but I am not sure if its worth it in the long run to take it.

We wore stand-ins only when we were in the pool or in the ocean to avoid losing the nice rings somehow. My husband and I both got “fake” rings for these activities only. The rest of the honeymoon, like on sight-seeing and dinners out, we wore the real ones.

We’re staying in a condo and will have no one coming in/out of our room for any reason (maids, etc.) so I think I’m going to bring a stand in (just a band) when we’re on the beach/doing something active, but wear my real set to dinner, etc.

I wore my set, but we went to Ireland and didn’t exactly go swimming. I would have taken the e-ring off it it was a beachy kind of trip. It’s not good to expose rings to sand/ocean water/chlorine/etc. My plain gold wedding band would have stayed on though.

We wore our wedding bands, but I left my e-ring at home safe and sound. We went to an island getaway and had a lot of activities planned where I would not have taken my e-ring. So we just left it at home. Better safe than sorry! I don’t understand stand in rings so I didn’t get one.

I wore both my e-ring and wedding band to St John and never took them off. They went to the beaches and pool and climbing around Virgin Gorda. My e-rings gone scuba diving and glacier hiking too. I’m feel like its safest when I know right where it is on my finger.
ETA: I did leave my e-ring at home on my business trip to Turkey though. I thought I may do some touring and wandering on my own and didnt feel safe with a flashy ring in a place I know nothing about. But now that I’m here and I feel totally safe, I wouldnt hestitate to wear it next time.
