Everyone loved my cake topper. My husband and I met in Bermuda and I still drive a Vespa!! We got it custom made to look like us (Mudcards on Etsy):

Wow… we had so many.

My godfather was our officiant.

My something old was my great grandmother’s wedding band from 1910.

The cake was MIL’s recipe that she made for every birthday and holiday while Darling Husband was growing up. She even had to teach the catering staff how to make the icing.

DH’s godmother was our caterer.

One of my favorites was our home brew beer favors.  We’ve been homebrewing for a couple years now, so it was really fun to share that with our guests.

Another favorite was our invites.  I designed them, my husband drew them, and we printed them together.  They were really fun, and we had a good time putting them together, too!

Very cute!!

Mine are going to be..my Fiance also loves teams from Boston so he will wear argyle socks with the Partriots logo. We will also have  ceremony drinks and assorted nuts snacks, I made our escort cards with maps (will post soon), and were having a local live band instead of a wedding one.

The three that stuck out the most were

1. My middle name is  Rose and my family calls me by my full name most of the time (becauseilovehim rose). So Kinda last minute we added little rose touches (Because my husband loves to call be my full name now)

2. My grandma has made homemade jelly and jam forever, she offered to make the favors they were beautiful and everyone loved it.

3. We had family memebers bring wedding pictures (relating to cake if they had them and set them behind our cake.

Also our cake topper has personal significance to our relationships

It’s always nice to see personal touches to a wedding 🙂 I love seeing the photos!

A couple of my favourite personal bits of our wedding were:

– My husband’s Grandfather gave his wife to be a beautiful gold brooch on the morning of their wedding 50 years ago. His Granny gave me the brooch a few days before our wedding to wear or carry on our wedding day and pass onto our children should we have them. I carried the brooch on my bouquet on the day.

– Instead of a traditional guestbook, we decided to have a guestbook quilt. Our guests wrote/drew on little quilt squares, which are then being sewn together into a big quilt which will have the guest book squares on, plus pieces of material we used in our wedding (on top of favours – we had jars of sweets covered in wee material top bits), part of my husband’s tie, some of the same fabric as my dress was made from (from alterations), part of a bridesmaid’s dress (from alterations) and other material which matches the colours/theme of our wedding. I can’t wait to see it!

Our favors were bottles of hot sauce from Darling Husband and I’s favorite Mexican restaurant. We had bottles of both our favorite sauces :). Mom and I hand-stamped the tags, and some of them came out pretty well!
