@risingsun:  at least I don’t feel bad for not sending mine out yet! 🙂 But I wanted to do a photo collage on a postcard so I’m waiting for the darn proffessional pics still 🙁 I am starting to think that people will be like “WOW no Thank you CARD?”

They went out about 6 weeks after and that was only because we had to wait for the pro pics to come back, order the custom photo cards, fill them out and mail them. I personally think that thank yous should be sent asap since guests more than likely spent a great deal of money to attend these weddings.

i’ve been married for a little over 2 months and i have yet to send out thank you cards. i feel awful about it. i’m always very good about sending out thank you’s in a timely manner and i would have done it a long time ago, but i want to do photo thank you cards and my photographer hasn’t sent me my pictures yet and i’m so frustrated with her. i’m tempted to just forget the pictures and send regular cards.

at least you got yours sent out tho. better late than never. my sis in law got married a year ago and never sent thank you cards. or if she did, my husband and i didn’t get one.

Bwed2012: Most guests will understand the delay when they see that you incorporated your wedding photos. Everyone knows that those take time to get back. As long as you get the ball rolling as soon as you get the pro pics, I doubt anyone will give you any trouble.

@Puffthemagicdragon:  Thank you! I hope not – I talked to the photographer last week he said it would be another 2 weeks or so – which would be perfect! We are finally leaving for our Honeymoon this Thursday and once I get back I should have the pictures and I can get them out ASAP.

It took about 7 weeks for our pro photos to come in and I wanted to enclose photo announcements with the thank you cards so that was a lot of the delay in getting them out.  It’s now been just over 3 months since our wedding! I’ll probably have them all out by the 4 month mark!

Also, don’t feel too bad. I’ve gone to lots of weddings where I never got one at all! Better late than never definitely applies here!

    Congrats on getting them done!

We received most of our registry gifts before the wedding and sent thank you notes right away.  About half of our guests gave us a card at the wedding, and we’ve only thanked about half of that group.  So we have around 25% of thank you notes outstanding 5 weeks after the wedding.  I’m hoping to get them out before the end of the year.

We sent ours out in rounds. A good chunk of them were sent in the first month (my half, ha!) and then I finished up DH’s in the next couple months…

I did them in waves, with the last one mailed out just shy of our 6 month mark.  Not what I was aiming for, by any means, but still happy to get them all out!
