We’re going to do a first look and hopefully bang out our family pics before the ceremony. Ceremony starts at 4:30, so I’m wondering how much time to allot for pictures beforehand. I’m thinking an hour for just me and Fiance, and then maybe another hour for bridal party and family? Is that too much/too little? What was your experience? Thanks!!

We had a ton of photos at 2 locations other than the church so we may not be normal (4 hours of pics!). But as far as family, an hour covered all of both of our families at the church, wedding party at the church, and our formal/traditional church pics. Our photographer told us it wouldn’t take as long as we thought–and she was right. If you/your photog are organized, the church pics will be quick. She had a list of our family members names so she could yell out who needed to come to the front and got them done quick.

Ours took perhaps 20 minutes after the ceremony for posed shots. Most of our pictures were candids, which I loved!

it took like 2 hours for pictures (family and us) but we stayed in the same “location”. dont under estimate travel time if you are doing phots at different locations.
