…just curious, as my wedding was officially two months ago and I feel so guilty that we still haven’t finished them. Now I’m worried holiday cards will get in the way- but is it terrible to wait until January?

I was very keen to get it over and done with, especially before I forgot what people gave us. Less than 1 month for most, 1 month for those whose address I had to get.

2 month mark here! I made them on Shutterfly, added a couple pictures, wrote a nice Thank You and mailed those babies out!

I sent them out around two months after the wedding. I would have sent them earlier but I wanted to send a photo thank you & I had to wait for our teaser pictures.

I was ready to start writing them before we left for the honeymoon LOL.. but I decided to wait until we got back. So I sent them 2 weeks after the wedding.

We still haven’t sent them out…. (hanging my head in shame)

We will have ours out within 2.5 weeks after the wedding….. i couldn’t stand having them hang over my head.

I did mine in about 1.5 months and we did photo Thank You cards. They were very well-received and while the holdup wasn’t bc of the photo (my photographer got back to me rather quickly), people assumed it was. Most were surprised that they even got a Thank You card and the rest commended us on how quickly we got them out. To be fair, for all the weddings we’ve attended/sent gifts to in the past five years, I’ve only gotten one Thank You card.

Ugh, I waited WAY too long, and it actually really stressed me out. I’d recommend doing them as soon as you can – just sit down with a good pen, a good movie, and just DO IT.
As for Christmas Cards, I really don’t think there’s anything wrong with sending them out at about the same time. I just wouldn’t send them together (ie in the same envelope) 😉 haha

Well with me who didn’t go on a honeymoon. We have been married for almost 1.5 years and I have yet to go on one. But I had them sent out in less than 2 weeks

They were out less than a month after the wedding. Wanted them done before the holidays. Did all 65 in one afternoon. My Shower thank you went out within a week.
I also had a collage photo done (in CVS with non-pro pictures) which went with them; didn’t want to wait until pro-photos were ready.

Send out the ones you have finished. And then skip the holiday cards. The thank you notes are far more important.

Does it make it any less shameful that I have a stack of 175 waiting? (300 guests) 🙁

Etiquette says 2 weeks…so you’re really overdue.
