@prncss47: I’m curious about this as well because I have no clue what kind of timeline to follow for any of that stuff. I didn’t even know I had to figure it out myself! I was just hoping someone at the venue would be like, “ok, it’s time to cut the cake.”

It worked out very well! The only people that left early were those with small children. Everyone else stayed until the very end and the dance floor was constantly crowded with guests!

@PitBulLover: Question … how long was your reception (that you were able to do all this in).  We’re doing the dances in between courses for the meal (its a 5 course meal) and adding in all the other fun and I STILL feel like there isn’t enough time!!

@Mrs. Meowerson: no, our cocktail hour was from 6:30-7:30 and then our reception started and ended around 11:45

As an early riser, can I just put a plea out that  you cut the cake before 9:30?  I’m always SO sad when I have to leave before I get cake, but since Fiance gets up at 4 am for his job, even of the weekends staying up until 10 is all but impossible for us!
