Hey there guys!
I’m trying to compile our registry, and I’m looking for some advice.
So for you ladies out there, what were the top 5 useful items you received from your registry? Plates, cutlery, etc., are of course expected to make the list… but what about things that you didn’t expect to be useful that you love?
Look forward to your answers!

The Cuisinart Griddler. We are obsessed with it.The plates are reversible so you can use it as a gril or panini press. You can also lie it out flat for bacon and eggs. Waffle plates are available too. I like it because it is 3 or 4 small appliances in one.
Kitchen Aid mixer
Doubles of all of our sheets (no need to launder the minute you strip a bed)
Pressure washer (cleaning cars and the house [when we have one!])

@LizLemon: I love
1) this juice pitcher
2) Calphalon Pizza Pan
3) Digital Probe Thermometer (You can leave the probe in the oven and set it to alert you when it hits a certain temperature)
4) OXO Pop Containers
5) I also like this Hand Blender. It chops and whips and does all kinds of stuff.

A lot of our things are small kitchen gadgets!
1. Spoon Rest
2. Garlic Press
3. Potato Masher
4. Coffee maker
5. (we didnt get it, but will be buying!) Spice Rack
(also would like to buy cereal containers)

When we get married we want cool wedding art, picture frames, matching coffee mugs and matching robes – I’m not wishing to hijack this post, it’s just we’ve already talked about it and those are things on our list. Oh and to add to our Starbucks country mugs!

1. Kitchenaid Pro. This thing has seriously changed my life!
2. Dyson Animal Ball Vac. This has also changed my life in a different way. Now Darling Husband actually WANTS to vacuum! That certainly never happened with our old crappy vac.
3. Calphalon Pots and Pans. Loooooove the non-stick.
4. Silverware. Our old set was cheap and shitty. This new set will last forever. And it’s pretty too. 🙂
5. Upgraded place settings. We didn’t register for china since we’d never use it but we love our Martha Stewart mix ‘n match sets. It makes dinner fancy.

@UpstateCait: Yeah I was focusing on the smaller unexpected stuff but I LOVE my non-stick Calphalon and KitchenAid Pro as well!

We asked for Money… so thats what we got.
But from that money we got a new bed and a new sofa!!! Woot! So happy to have a new mattress and a recliner sofa.

I love that vacuum! I don’t even have it but I have friends that do and I covet it so badly. I also vacuum my friends’ houses because of it lol

1. All Clad stainless steel mixing bowls (nesting set of 3) – awesome and durable! We use them almost every day and I know they’ll last a lifetime
…the rest is all the typical stuff – shun knives, ridel grape wine glasses…

@UpstateCait: Darling Husband is the SAME way with our animal! 🙂 Dyson should seriously use that as marketing – buy this vacuum because it will make your husband excited do housework! 🙂

We only received 2 physical “things” from our registries for the wedding; people in our area do gifts for the shower and money for the wedding itself. But I do have a few favorite non-big-ticket gift:
Fabric Steamer: we registered for one that cost around $40 and I never thought we’d receive it. DH’s friend gave it to us, and I swear, we barely use the traditional iron anymore. Aside from clothing, it’s the best invention for any kind of large or hanging fabric (curtains, shower curtain, etc.).
Ice Crusher: it’s hand-crank, and I don’t remember why we registered for it originally. But to make crushed ice in small amounts, it’s great and easy to use. Big hit with guests.
K-Cup Storage Drawer: the Keurig sits on top of it, and it holds enough Kcups for a few weeks’ use. It’s easier than constantly returning to the boxes they come in, and doesn’t take up much more counter space than the machine itself.
Cookie Press: It’s turned into one of my favorite baking tools for spritz cookies — super easy to use, churns out gorgeous shapes in no time, and packs away with its discs in its own storage box.

Duvet covers! (also doubles of sheets as a PP said)
Cuisinart Pots and pans
Hanging sweater organizer and 3 level shoe rack (I technically bought these after the wedding but I couldn’t find the right ones when I was registering). If you like organization like I do – get these! They will give you soooooo much more space in your closet!
I’m going to have to add our Kitchenaid blender, too. Makes making delicious frozen drinks a snap! We have a mixer too but don’t use it a ton yet – but definitely will as time goes on!

All great suggestions! I added like four of these things after hearing about them! 🙂

I only have four:
#1 Vitamix Blender– best gift ever. I use it every single day.
#2 Cuisinart Griddler– I love being able to grill no matter what season
#3 KitchenAid Mixer– because I love cookies.
#4 Dyson Vacumn– it really does make vacumning kind of fun
