I didn’t really stress alot about anything because i gave myself lots of time to plan, and i was very organized in a way of making timelines for people, etc and making sure the timing was all fine for the day of.   My biggest stress wojuld have been things running behind and noone knowing what they should be doing and when etc.

The only thing i really stressed about i guess was the money, and trying to keep costs down.

Things that were not worth the stress: fulfilling all my Pinterest visions !!!! Too many good ideas can drive you crazy in trying to achieve the “perfect” vision. I was on a budget that was tight however I think a few of my DIY projects cost me a bit more than if I had gone a different route like my coffee filter flowers… Takes a lot of dollar store filters to create a filled vase. When I could have just done something similar to what we used on the head table

On my wedding day, I worried WAY too much about following our timeline and worrying if our guests were having a great time.  Of course you want to be conscious of that, but I feel like I spent most of the day thinking about that stuff instead of enjoying OUR WEDDING DAY and being in the moment.  Bummer, it’s something I really do regret now.

Also, I didn’t have all our final payments ready, so that was a bit of a flustering few minutes toward the end of the night trying to figure those out when I was so overwhelmed with attention, exhaustion, emotion and drinks.

I stressed a lot!!!! About everything!!! Money, setting up /taking down, hair choices, dress choices, rain…. The list goes on. However the advice a friend gave me was no one will know if the flowers weren’t right or if something is missing from the decor, only you will know. I am a Virgo and a perfectionist who does not handle change well so my biggest stressor was my own expectations of myself and my vision. On the day we set up I was so overwhelmed and tapped out from all the planning and DIY stuff that I handed over control to those that were helping us and just let them set things up their own way. I had to let go and believe that it would be beautiful no matter what. And other people’s demands just don’t buy into them, it’s your wedding not thiers

I learned that when things can go wrong they often WILL! LOL I made sure to make that morning relaxing and pampering because it is all in the way you deal with the issues as they arise.

Remember to breathe and go with the flow on your big day! Try to be in that moment and enjoy every minute of it even if a guest cuts into your grooms cake & starts to eat it or the elevator to your reception site gets stuck with 8 of your wedding party in it during the cocktail hour and the fire dept has to rescue them! (YES! All happened to me on my wedding day and I was able to laugh!)

I learned that it’s to late to have a redo. I regret getting smashed and then having a crying jag.

Let me start at the begining. Married 8-27-11 Hurricane hit and rained not to mention wind. The morning was ok until 2pm the time to walk down the isle. it started raining and never stopped. It was a garden wedding thank God we had a tent. So to calm my nerves i popped open a bottle of champage however, never really ate so the day went down hill. I didnt have the wedding that I wanted and ended up drunk and not remembering to much of the day. So very sad. But it’s my fault i should have prepared for the worst but i was hopeing that the rain would hold out. Thinking back i would have had the ceramony in the rain with umberellas or arranged the seating different so we could have had a better alter. We had great food and family and pics. I will always remember the day. I did marry the man of my dreams. So in a way I was Happy. 🙂 Maybe ill do a renewal
