Darling Husband and I have been married for a month now (yay). I am SO happy the wedding is over, it was this huge stress hanging over my head. Now that life has gotten back to normal, I feel like I can breath, however I am missing wedding planning a bit.
So recently married Bees- what are you missing most about planning your wedding?
I am really missing wedding dress shopping. I loved it! Everything was so pretty, it was really hard to make up my mind. I am a bit sad I will not shop for a wedding gown again.

I am so happy to have stopped shoveling out money at every turn or deciding on x vs y. 🙂
ETA: whoops, just saw you asked for ‘recently’ married bees input. My bad….

I have a hard time thinking of anything… planning florals was fun

Just browsing and getting ideas was fun. I still browse, but can’t put any of them into action now!

Not a thing. I’m not that recently married but shortly after the wedding my answer would have been the same, just more emphatic.

I think it’s partly a feeling of that chapter of my life being closed and partly that I wonder about missed opportunities.
It’s hard to shut off wedding brain, so when I see something I think would have worked well at my wedding, I’m like “Why couldn’t I have seen that 6 months ago?!” It’s not that I’m in any way unhappy with how the wedding went, it’s just that I haven’t learned to stop sucking in all of this information about weddings and catalogue it for my own plans.
And I will admit, part of me liked being The Bride. I was never that wedding-obsessed girl before getting engaged, but after, I got used to feeling a little bit special just because I was getting married and having everyone be excited for me.

@amandasf: Same as you, the dress shopping, you know that hopeful and exciting feeling of searching and finding the one. Some bits I don’t miss like making the invites and stressing about them, wish I’d discovered VistaPrint during this stage of my life.

@anemonie: I think I also miss that now- the people being really excited for you part. At the time I WAS NOT excited at all and it was hard to fake it, but now I miss that. I felt like that was all people wanted to talk about for a while.

umm NOTHING! haha
Occasionally I have missed crafting, but I’ve had fun refocusing my energy on decorating my house.

@amandasf: I totally miss wedding dress shopping! I still watch SYTTD like a nutso. 🙂

I miss having a reason to do crafts. I mean, Christmas takes the edge off, but I miss designing my paper products and doing DIY.

- Wedding: July 2012 - Woodwinds
I miss deciding on my save the dates, invitations, thank you cards, colors, flowers, and cake 🙂
Of course I miss picking my dress and touring the venues with my fiance 🙂

I miss absolutely nothing about wedding planning!

Picking out my wedding band and my husband’s wedding band was fun! Other than that I don’t miss wedding planning at all.

I do have a weird urge to go dress shopping lol, though my dress was donated so I think I’m partially just missing my dress. I miss the wedding, like the day itself. I wish I could pop back into that day every once and awhile and relive it. Every once and awhile I’ll put my veil on while I’m doing dishes or something stupid like that : )
