Now that the wedding has come and gone are you going on new forums you’ve never tried before? I’m having post wedding planning depression lol and i’ve seen other ladies post how they’re next step is buying a house or TTC and i’m doing none of the above. I’m trying to find a new hobby but can’t think of anything I like that much yet. I’m looking for other forums to go on that i’ll love just as much as weddingbee but not sure where to start. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I’m still around here (over 2 years later!)
I stick mostly to the NWR boards now as well as some time in the Home/Pets/etc.

I’m still here as well. Other than this im spending more time on cooking and home blogs now that I have more time for other projects

I usually just stick to boards page so I see everything, but I love looking at recaps of other Bees weddings.

I’ve been married five years, I wasn’t on the Bee when I was planning and stumbled onto it because my sister is engaged…I love the community and the ladies on it!
Anyway, I’m sorry to hear that you’ve got the post planning blues, I hear those are pretty common and it’s no surprise, you poured your heart and soul into that one day, and it’s come and gone like a shooting star…missing it would be understandable.
As far as keeping the weepies at bay, maybe you could plan another party? You don’t have to be getting married to have a party, after all… what’s the use of all that china and stemware if you don’t put it to good use? Halloween is coming, maybe a costume party might satisfy that longing urge to dress up…you could be anyone, or anything…fun dresses are ok anytime! Invitations, favors, games…the sky is the limit and plus, no pressure!

I am happy not to be planning a wedding anymore, but I do find myself wanting to plan SOMETHING. Right now I am planning a weekend camping trip (cheap and fun!).
@Nona99: Parties are also a great idea 🙂

I also love weddingbee for the recaps and helping other brides out there. I like how there’s so many topics on this forumn besides wedding stuff. I also plan to become a better cook but something about cooking forums doesn’t interest me so much haha.
@Nona99: Thanks for the advice! I’ve read that it’s most common that we miss the planning part of the wedding. I am thinking of throwing a halloween party so that would be nice at least.

I can’t seem to escape the wedding boards. 🙂 I just love them! But I do spend some time sifting through the home threads.

I’m still on all the boards, I love looking at ladies dresses and seeing what they are up to. But I am paying a lot more attention to the TTC boards. Hoping to be part of there soon 🙂

I still feel like I have a place here, both in the newlywed and home boards, as well as offering any advice I can to brides-to-be.
And don’t worry — we aren’t in a place yet where we’re buying a house or TTC. Sometimes I feel a little behind or left out, but then my friends who ARE buying homes and/or TTC tell me to just enjoy married life with my husband because we’re lucky to still have the time to ourselves!

@sarahbabs: Yes! I’m with you on that one. I’m so relieved now that I don’t have to plan a wedding. It was fun up until about a month before. Then, although very exciting, it was exhausting!! lol
However I do relate to you too, @kryssbride: in that I felt a bit “down”. I miss my wedding. It came and went so quickly. Thank goodness we had our honeymoon, it kid of extended it. And we also received wedding gifts after the honeymoon so that was nice too.
As for how I’m keeping busy, well, I left my job and started a university degree full-time which is exciting. And I’m also blogging a lot (reading and writing.) Oh, and WB of course! 😉

Belive it or not, I am still on a forum from when I first got married over 10 years ago!
I have “known” those ladies for a long time, and I have met some of them in person as well!
I feel kind of old on the WB.
