I loved each of our gifts, I really did. Our guests put so much thought into them and I love them. But one of them I am just obsessed over, completely and totally.
While others make home life much more convenient, this particular item stands out big time and I just wanted to share and see if I was alone in this or not
^A native American woman painted on a feather, by a native american artist. On the back it’s got a congratulatory note from the artist. I’m native american and very proud of my heritage so it really means a lot to me.
So, was your favorite gift off your registry or something really thoughtful? Or perhaps a nice check? Any pictures of your favorite gift?

My KitchenAid mixer was the best gift of all time – I literally jumped up and down when I opened the box…never done that before.
Our bedding was a pretty phenomenal gift too…I never would have been able to pay as much as much for a comforter/pillows/sheets set as the one on our registry was – but it is absolutely fantastic – SO COMFORTABLE.
Both of those gifts were on our registry – and honestly we didn’t get too much that wasn’t…

My favorite gift has to be my knives, I’m sooo happy we got them!

@strawbs: Haha our second favorite is our fondue set up 🙂 Love me some sweets!

@Birdee106: I am so hoping someone buys us the knives on our registry!!
@strawbs: Do you use it a lot? I was thinking of putting an ice cream maker on ours, but then I wondered if it would be a lot of work to make and maybe I’d never feel like doing it…

@kris325: I thought of asking for a fondue maker, but my SIL has one and hardly ever uses it so I nixed it.
@adoc86: all you have to do is make the mixture for the ice cream flavor you want, and dump it in the previously frozen spinner to churn it. My only complaint is that it’s loud lol. We’ve used ours a good few times. We just make large batches of ice cream so it’s a long time in between uses XD

@kris325: That’s such a nice sentimental wedding gift. My husband is Jewish, and we were given a Hamsa plaque with a blessing for our home from one of his relatives in Israel. I thought that was a beautiful sentimental gift.
As far as our registry is concerned, my KitchenAid mixer is wonderful. I use it constantly, and we were given the “slicer” attachment with it. Great small appliance!

I have a few favorites.
1. The antique crystal glasses from my grandmother. They’ve been in the family for a long time now and are maybe around 150 years old. It’s our first family heirloom!
2. Painting of two bears dancing in the woods painted by the same grandmother.
3. Mesquite cutting board with torquise inlays. It’s really cool looking.
4. My green teapot. I use it ALL THE TIME!

Nespresso and Le Creuset dutch oven are my faves! Both were off of the registry.

All of our wedding gifts were either cash or checks… I have to say the $8000 one was my favorite .

I loved a lot of our gifts, but my favorite was a surprise from my Mother-In-Law. I have a close relationship with her, and after I put on my dress, she gave me a quilt she had hand-made. She picked out the colors to match our wedding colors and slaved over it for about four months. When she gave it to me, she told me she was so excited that I was going to be her daughter, and I teared up quite a bit.
