Now that you are married…reflecting back on your entire wedding process – who was your WORST wedding guest?
I’ll share mine! My husband asked one of his friends whom he had sort of lost touch with over the past year but still considered him to be close to be a groomsman. We invited only him since he does not have a girlfriend. He RSVP’d with a +1 on the response card, didn’t call and ask if he could bring someone or anything. Fine. He is a groomsman and my then fiance didn’t want to stir up trouble. Even though our cost per guest for catering alone totaled $250.
1 Week before the wedding my husband invited this groomsman to hang out. The groomsman informed him that this guest was his “main hoe”. UM SERIOUSLY? WELL too late to say she couldn’t come at this point – the total guest count had been submitted and paid for!
He shows up at the wedding with her and doesn’t give a card or anything!!

Someone got arrested at our wedding lol.. Didn’t hear about until a few days later. It was someone from my DHs side so it was someone I didn’t know until that day.

I didn’t really have a worst guest, but there were four extras who showed up that I hadn’t invited which annoyed me at the time, but I laugh about it now. Here’s what happened:
I invited an aunt and uncle, and my two cousins from them. My aunt is a joker, so on the RSVP card she had written in names of their animals too, but out of the mush I got one of the cousins, and the other one with his wife and their three kids, and they were all going to drive the eight hours together.
Well, the day of (even though I didn’t realize this until after the ceremony), not only had all eight of them showed up, but they had brought along a babysitter and the babysitter’s family!

My husband lol. He’d had quite a few drinks before the reception, quite a few drinks during, and by the end of the night he was being very obnoxious and borderline rude to our guests. He claims he doesn’t remember any of it and I believe him. He couldn’t even stand up straight. The silver lining was that he was drunk enough to dance with his mother, which was a tearjerker, because they’d never done it before. Good video footage of him (attempting) line dancing also!

i had an extra guest who showed up and was very easy to spot since it was a small wedding. What make it worst is that he passes me by without saying hello even after he came to thee reception and ate our food. We paid per person….smh

My friend insisted on having a plus one (her boyfriend of less than two months) and I let her because I was feeling bad for her since she had broken up with a long term bf only a few months before who I had been planning to invite. Wouldn’t you know that she and the new bf broke up the day before my wedding! She text me to say he wouldn’t come and I said I was so sorry about everything. Fast forward to my wedding day, I saw her after my ceremony and gave her a big hug after which I said “I’m so sorry about you and [new bf] but I am so happy you are here and I love you so much” at which point she burst into tears and LITERALLY ran away from me and then left the wedding. This is someon I consider a very close friend who I was thisclose to asking to be a bridesmaid. She LEFT the wedding! I had even sat her with some of my best best friends from college who are like family to me. Can you imagine someone RUNNING AWAY from the bride at her wedding? Because you broke up with someone yoiud’ be dating for like 2 months????? What!

My Father-In-Law was hands down the worst guest. We were doing our first look pictures before the ceremony and he apparently went up to one of my BMs and had the following conversation:
Father-In-Law: Who are you supposed to be?
Bridesmaid or Best Man: Oh, I’m BM!
Father-In-Law: Well, you’re just a little too tall to be a midget. *walks off*
She told me about this later and I was like.. wat?
Then after first looks I was about to hit the floor from low blood sugar and was getting a smal snack. He comes up behind me and says, loudly, “You don;t need to eat that or you won;t fit in your dress.” then walks off when I didn’t reply (for the record I’d been a bit touchy on my dress because I’d lost some weight without meaning to and it was fitting a bit big.)

my wedding was small so i can’t really say i had a bad guest. i’d have to pick some no shows. at least it was awesome to have leftovers

the drunk, sweaty, red faced uncle making passes at every pretty young thing is usually the worst guest

No horrile guests. However, one couple brought along their 4-month-old without notifying us in advance. Didn’t give a card or gift either. At least the kid was quiet the whole time!

The worst was the lady that wore white to my wedding. Hubby’s aunt – in my culture it is the most disrespectful thing you can do.

My mother…and she left in the middle of dinner without so much as a goodbye. 🙁

None, even with all of the kids we invited. All children were amazingly well behaved! Guests were all great, too. Thank goodness 🙂
