Just send a bill in the mail to the people who didn’t show.

Kidding!

But I’m glad that now I know to check for that when I’m ready to sign a contract!

We only invited really close fam and friends 58, and 56 rsvpd yes (2 had planned an overseas holiday), we had no no shows, I guess the more guests the more likely people wont show. even still we didn’t have to give final numbers until 2 weeks prior.

That’s horrible! 🙁

We invited 140, and about 80 people came. It sounds like a ton, but we were expecting it because DH’s family is elderly and lives across the country, so they weren’t likely to travel.

We told our venue we would have around 100 people, and we did have to pay a fee because we didn’t have that many.

We had several no-shows, too, and you’re right, it’s disheartening to think about the money that was lost. I’m so sorry this has happened to you!

I am just going through that at the moment, we have to have a minimum of 150 for the venue and invited 170. at this stage we have 130 RSVP yes so it is annoying to think we will still have to pay for the extra 20
