(Closed) Married, but still want a wedding.

    I didn’t read all the comments because I can imagine most of them 😉 but personallet-I’ve been put off by finding out friends invited me to a wedding and they’d been married beforehand. I guess-it’s not that I minded celebrating or even giving gifts or whatever. It’s just that “deception” or “misleading” made it feel like they were only doing it to get gifts or something? Which I know may be an unfair perspective but it’s how I felt then. 

    I think it’s up to you and what you want! I always thought a wedding was just an occasion but getting married was what was important. If you already are married-I feel like a party occasion is fine. But calling it a wedding is sort of empty of meaning if you’re already married. 

     

    But again-its your life. Do what you need to so you aren’t regretful or resentful later!
