YES. It wasn’t terrible but it was definitely hot down there. I’m really graceful/such a lady so there are tons of pics of me hiking my skirt up between pictures to get some air circulating by my legs. Like so:

yes i was hot. but i wore a big ballgown. I had a hoopskirt so my legs were free the whole time. but after dancing and talking to everyone..it gets a little toasty!

I was pretty hot!! I had to go stand outside for a while after my dollar dance to cool myself down.

Generally though, it wasn’t too bad. But my wedding was in November! I can’t imagine if I was a summer/spring bee!

I wasn’t actually.  I thought my thighs would be sweaty but they weren’t at all.  I got married in April though, so it wasn’t that warm.  My gown was made of peau de soie (duchess satin) and was a mermaid.

Mine was definitely a bit warmer than I would have liked. I made good use of my hanyk to dab the sweat, as needed. We chose to get married in October, and I was counting on a cool fall day. Instead I got sunny and 82 degrees. My dress was a silk taffeta full A-line. Thank goodness it wasn’t satin!

I did feel hot but only during the reception because I danced all night. But during the ceremony I felt fine. my dress wasnt too heavy evn though I had a crinoline under it.

I was fine…. ballgown with no ‘stuffing’ so it was more like an a-line. We were inside in December but I remember being absolutely fine. I think the strapless top made it a lot cooler than I could’ve been.

I felt a bit hot when I was outside in the middle of the afternoon taking pictures.  Afterwards, I hiked up my dress in front of a fan to cool things off!

But I was fine all evening, despite dancing the night away.

Yes, brutally.  I ended up changing out of my dress early for this reason.  Granted we had some weather issues that contributed to this, but once I started dancing it was unbearable.

I was actually pretty comfortable, even in Texas in late May! I didn’t have any extra petticoats or skirting or anything beyond the dress, and it wasn’t a terribly heavy dress.

Yeah, I was really hot and when I finally got home and took the dress off I felt like I’d just been working out and needed a shower really bad.  Having a pair of spanx under my dress (the kind that go down to like your knee area) were really helpful in that I didn’t have sweat streaming down my legs all day (sorry if thats tmi, guys).

Not at all. We happened to get a cool, cloudy day at the end of May. Our outdoor reception was so chilly (probably low 50s, with a wind chill) people had to wear jackets and blankets the whole time! Go figure.
