@MrsRichard: We decided to go with grey tuxs as well! My Airman will be sporting a dark grey tux and the GM’s will be wearing lighter grey.

@Payless: Awesome I’m so glad I could help! They give you a group number too and then the guys can get fitted at any Men’s Warehouse in the country. Once you set up your account, you can actually log in to see who has been fitted and who hasn’t! Our guys are all over too!

@Payless: Sorry, no pictures here! Fiance will not be wearing his dress uniform. The Bridal Party will be entirely civilian… and plus, Fiance really loves to wear a nice suit ๐

@AirForceWife78: Yeah, thanks a bunch! How cool is it that they have this option? I like them much more than Davids Bridal.
@lemiller: It is so crazy that most people opt. out of wearing a uniform. You would think the novelty of it would be more embraced. Are you going formal for his suit? ๐

We had Marines, but there were a few people who attended and were in their uniform. We had an airman and three soldiers…but I think only one soldier wore his uniform.

For our small wedding my husband wore his dress blues (which are black) and his brother wore a black suit. it wasn’t weird at all.
For our party coming up he’s decided not to wear a uniform, and none of his groomsmen are active duty so they won’t be wearing uniforms either.

My husband wore his dress blues, as well as two of his groomsmen. We also had three groomsmen who wore tuxes. I don’t think it looked bad at all. We didn’t want to make the groomsmen who had uniforms pay the extra money for the tuxes, when they had something that would work and that is how my husband felt about it too.

@ourlovesong: I’d love to see a picture if you don’t mind sharing! We’ve picked out dark navy (almost black) suits from Jos A Bank for the guys to wear, with navy vests. i know this will look good with my FI’s dress uniform, but I still can’t decide if all of the Groomsmen should wear the suits, or if they should wear their dress uniforms if they have the blue ones!

Any advice for brides with grooms wearing high collared whites (canadian navy) I do not want a pure white dress, ive been leaning towards the blush coloured ones, just faintly coloured, I thought it may be better than ivory against stark white, I tried on a lace one today with a blushy/faint pewter underlay today and the stark white swatch looked pretty good next to it. Whole grooms party is canadian navy, domyou think they should all wear high collared white? Or just him and the groomsmen in their regular dress uniforms, thought it would look nice us both in white, bridesmaids in navy and groomsmen uniforms black. Any advice would be helpful!

@Novascotiagirl: what time of year will the ceremony be? Inside or outside? I think that would make a huge difference

My husband is Navy and we had a couple Army in our wedding. No one wore their uniforms. My husband sees the Navy as his job, not his life. Work is left at work and isn’t brought into our life.
However, I do think he is stunningly handsome in his whites or blues.
