I added his last name on the marriage license and social security. I am being lazy with doing the changes, so not much hassle.

Since it is not hyphenated, I can use his or my last name legally. So, i might start using his last name to avoid everyone smushing both together.

Going to change drivers license next month. Bank and other stuff eventually. Passport and global entry will be changed before our next international trip.

Hahaha welllll….I got married 6 years ago and did not want to change my name because of all of the work it entailed.  After about two years and a few arguments, I finally changed it with the Social Security office and then a few bank cards and such.  I never did get around to changing my driver’s license and now we have been divorced for officially one year (separated 2 years).

I still go by the married last name because that’s what everyone in my profession knows me by and I REALLY need to get around to changing the DL, but I’m also about to be engaged to my boyfriend so………ugh, it makes my head hurt.
