I voted “acted a fool” because I fell out of the bus when Darling Husband and I got to our hotel. Haha other than that I was just having myself a grand ol’ drunk time!

There was no alcohol allowed at the reception hall and even when we requested only the bridal party to have alcohol for the toasting noone remembered to buy it so I was sober. But glad that there was no alcohol cause I would of hate to see a lot of drunks lmao

I plan to enjoy myself, but I also know I’ll be busy & it takes a few for me to really get “there”haha.  I’m going to keep an eye on this thread :]

I’ll answer based on my first wedding.

    No – I don’t drink at all.

I don’t plan on drinking this time around either.

(I’m pretty sure my guests will make up for it lol)

No, and I was kind of surprised! We had full open bar and I thought I’d get very buzzed or drunk, but I ended up only having 4 glasses of wine all day. I was too excited and having too much fun dancing to even think about drinking more! Haha Darling Husband got drunk though.

    NICE poll options.  Well done.

I drank, but not nearly enough.  I was too busy!  I wish I had drank more.

Ooh – although – there was a time where I was SO THIRSTY I WAS GOING TO DIE.  I couldn’t get up to get a drink of water or anything because there were other things going on and I didn’t want to bother anyone to “fetch me a drink” (I would have felt bridezilla-y).  Anyway, it was time for the father-daughter dance and I was JUST SO THIRSTY that I asked one of my bridesmaids for a sip of her drink and she warned me, “it’s a double jack and coke!” and I was like, “whatever, it’s liquid!”

sooooooooo I’m pretty sure my dad now thinks I’m a raging alcoholic because let’s just say we’re lucky my breath wasn’t near any open flames.  I stunk through the whole dance, haha!

I really didn’t get drunk which is kind of what normally happens. I have every intention to and then when I get the slightest buzz, I’m afraid I’ll go over the edge and get gross so I stop.

With all the shots going around, I’m surprised I didn’t. I’m too restrained!

My husband got chocolate wasted though.

I have specifically told Fiance to NOT let me drink too much! I swear once I get like 2 glasses of wine in me I totally stop paying attention to how much I’ve had.

I drank quite a bit (something like 5 glasses of champagne, I think 2 glasses of wine, and a beer before the whole thing even started), yet didn’t really get buzzed at all. I think it was because I was running around like a maniac and dancing and do all kinds of other things the whole night. Then my husband and I split a bottle of champagne (we drank the whole thing) at the hotel later that night and I woke up at like 8AM, not hungover at all while he was trying not to vomit in bed.

Nope.  I barely had a chance to drink anything.  I think I got a whole two-thirds of a cup of champagne the whole night.

Now, after the wedding, when Darling Husband and I got back to the hotel room…  That’s a different story.

I was so stressed out that I didn’t eat or drink much for most of the day. I really did try, but I was being pulled in so many different directions that I just kept losing track of my drink.

i had a drink or two in the limo during the transportation and champagne with my dinner… but i didnt get drunk until after our reception when we took our limo bus downtown to a rooftop bar where we met & had our engagement pictures taken. i had total control of myself and thought i was pretty sober… until i woke up in the morning with a pounding headache!
