@LavenderBride24:  I washed mine in the washing machine and it’s currently hanging in a canvas bag in my closet. I want to put it (although I dunno where I’d go in it), but it has a corset back, so in my closet it stays……

@Rubbs:  I want to keep my dress forever as well!!! I never want to trash mine or sell it. 🙁 my sister and I played “dress up” with my mom’s gown and veil our whole lives, I want my future daughter(s) to have the same memories!! Plus, I don’t ever want to part with it!

@Chelwilly:  Aw..that’s so cute! I remember my mom taking hers out a few times too when I was little. I think her veil was borrowed though & I don’t remember seeing it when I was a kid. If I have a daughter, I’d love to see her try mine on!

I had mine cleaned and kept and i tried to sell it (coz I went way over my dress budget). I already got offers for it.. but they’re asking for half the price when it’s as good as new! I find it really hard to let go, so it’s still with me and I dont know if I’ll ever use it again or sell it Tongue Out

It’s been 1 1/2 years and my dress is still hanging in our guest room closet. 😛

I have had mine cleaned and want to keep it, just have to get a bigger wardrobe for it to go in!

I donated mine to St. Anthony’s Bridal – http://www.stanthonysbridal.com/St_Anthonys_Bridal_a_501c3_Organization/home.html

I’m local so it was easy to take it there.  I thought about keeping it but it was a fairly big dress and we don’t have a huge amount of space in our house.  I do have beautiful photos of it in the wedding album and framed prints around the house, as well as the wedding video.  I also am a plus sized bride and knew it’s hard for plus size brides, especially those on a tight budget to find a beautiful dress.  Plus we itemize our deductions so you can deduct the donation on your taxes.

I like to play dress up in mine. 🙂

I’m going to dye mine and wear it out. Probably purple. A la this girl–this is my dress although I had a crinoline on to make it poof. http://vegetalion.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-dye-wedding-dress.html

It’s so pretty and I love to wear it, why not try to wear it more than once?

@luverly7:  same here. I’m only 4’11. Not sure I’d have much luck with that.

@indecisivebride89:  That is a great idea but it would have to be a pretty massive closet to do that.
