Ugh yes! I forgot my beach bag!! Who does that? I was rearranging my suitcase so I put it off to the side and apparantly forgot to put it back in. So just make sure you don’t forget that because it was annoying lugging my husbands backpack to the beach lol.

Also make sure to pack a bathing suit, sunglasses, and any necessities in your carry on just incase your luggage gets lost. I really hope it doesn’t happen but ever since my friend lost his luggage and was stuck without his bathing suit for days Ive tried to fit what I could in my carry on. Andobviously expensive items like cameras.

We brought a beach bag, but I wish we had brought a backpack for excursion-y things. We bought a ugly, overpriced backpack before going to the national park in Costa Rica and I wish we had just packed one!

My parents always bring some sort of mug/glass with a lid to pour their drinks into when they go on vacation. Unless you’re a beer drinker of course. If you’re sipping cocktails on the beach, you might get sand in your drink otherwise.

Don’t forget to bring any method of birth control you plan on using, unless you’re okay with possibly getting pregnant on your honeymoon. One of my good friends just got back from her honeymoon and said she forgot to bring condoms, and that’s what they were using, so their first night, they couldn’t have sex!

LOTS of sunscreen. it feels like it just melts off your skin in the DR. and the sunscreen at the resort cost a ridiculous amount of money. AND BUGSPRAY!!!

I agree with futuremrste: bring a mug or cup with lid. The bartenders will fill up your cup, so you don’t have to run back and forth to the bar!!!

Ooh, whereabouts in the DR are you going? Got back 3 weeks ago and just want to be back there!

I definitely second plenty of bug-spray and suncream. I’d also bring at least 3 bikinis, as they can take a while to dry out in the humidity. We always bring portable speakers, so we can listen to our own music in the room while we get ready to go for dinner. Also, we always pack our toiletries in individual plastic bags; you do not want suncream or shampoo all over your clothes lol.

Oh, and bring plenty of small bills for tips 🙂

I forgot my hair brush…we were in the middle of no where, we rented a cabin in the woods and it was like a two hour drive to the nearest town….

@futuremrste:  Hahah, I don’t think the Eagles need to worry about getting pregnant. ; ) But good advice for the straight couples on the ‘Bee!
