clairebbbear:  as a martina liana bride myself (not cognac coloured mind you) I can tell you that the cognac CAN take on a peachy/pink tone, but it does depend on lighting and what the gown is paired with/near.  If she’s concerned – she’d really have to control and test with lighting, to see if she still likes the look of the gown in daylight or whatever type of venue she’s having.

Martina Liana has beautiful gowns and the one above is no exception, but I’d tell your girlfriend to go in and check out the gown in the store, but see if the shop will let her take it outside in the sunlight to see if she still likes it – Martina has beautiful blush dresses – 476 was mine and it was a pink ombre gown and it’s definitely pink.

Monique L’Hullier’s – Candy is a beautiful blush too!

I’m a Martina Liana 500 in cognac bride! Honestly, it seems more golden/champagne to me, but I’m not very color sensitive. Here are photos in different lighting conditions. I took bridals Saturday (inside and outside) but it will take a couple weeks to get those pics back. Also my dress is cognac with ivory lace appliques, but it will give you an idea about the color. The color is why I bought the dress, btw. I am fair skinned with light hair (maybe your colleague has similar coloring?) and I just glow in this dress compared to white and ivory dresses, according to my family and friends, lol. I think I also have pictures somewhere in one of their blush dresses, if that would be helpful! Sorry if these are turned weird or large, I am awful with inserting pictures on the new weddingbee site!

Wow….what a beautiful dress! Defiantly not peach/blush/sherbet or pink…….

If she’s this particular about color, she should definitely wait to purchase a dress she can see with her own eyes.  Only she knows what the “perfect” cognac/peach/blush is, and Im worried that the dress shop is trying to persuade her in their favor.

Stella York (a sister brand to Martina Liana) have some beautiful gowns in a colour called muscato – I’m getting the 6013 in Ivory… but if you search for the stock photo it shows the dress in the colour I’m talking about. It’s a beautiful soft pink hue.

HeartsandSparkles:  LOVE your dress… probably because mine is a similar colour!  Are you going to wear a veil with it and if yes what kind of veil? I can’t figure out what would be right with mine.

I have the cognac Martina Liana dress. Mine is style number 500. here are two pictures from my wedding. One looks peach and the other looks champage. The first one is in natural sunlight and the second one is at night, the venue lights on.

Bottom line, this dress looks different in different light. I agree with one of the other posters, this dress looks great on fair skinned women!

clairebbbear:  Glad she liked one of them. These were just the first 2 I could quickly find that were the colour this morning. I think others come in that colour too but I don’t know which ones lol.

clairebbbear:  I don’t know if she has purchased or not but I bought the Velma which is Ivory over Blush, it’s absolutely gorgeous!! I’m also selling mine as I’ve found a different one, so if she wants a brand new blush gown at a discount, let me know! It’s a size 8 and just came in at my bridal salon, never been touched :))
