My eyes seem to be sensitive to mascara. I put it on, and within moments my eyes are watering. I wear waterproof mascaras to avoid the raccoon look, but I actually prefer the way non-waterproof mascaras look (they look richer to me…anyone else agree?).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how my eyes can better tolerate mascara? Brands, techniques, types, anything really would be very much appreciated!

I found out that I was allergic to mascara when my eye began to hurt and swell. So for the wedding, I plan to wear fake eyelashes. They really work and make your eyes look amazing! If you don’t know how to apply them, go to a makeup counter. They’ll be able to help you.

I have used Lancome Hypnose mascara the most (both waterproof and nonwaterproof versions). I also have a Maybelline Full ‘n Soft version (waterproof) that flakes and flakes.
I have tried fake lashes but they feel so heavy! Maybe I am picky.
One thing I have found that improves the look of my eyes without mascara is darkening my brows (which are dark already, granted). I have some "brow polish" from Stila that makes my eyes look really defined without mascara at all.

i really dont have an answer to mascara for sensitive eyes, try going to sephora or ulta and im sure the girls that work there will know of some that you can try. they usually can give you testers or let you return.
also, if you dont like wearing fake eyelashes maybe you should try having them individually applied, i think theyre called eyelash extensions? they dont feel heavy and they last a few weeks. i plan on doing that for my wedding and so my eyes look good while im laying out on the beach on my honeymoon.

My eyes are super-sensitive with makeup. I use Almay mascara and eyeliner and find it doesn’t make them feel itchy or red….and cuts down on the "Oh are you okay? Your eyes look red…" comments.

Try not applying the mascara right at the lash line. I have super sensitive eyes too (the only drug store brand I can wear is Almay), but I recently discovered that getting too close to my lashline is a recipie for disaster, even with products I normally use without incident.

I also have sensitive eyes due to allergies and contacts. I started wearing Almay mascara about a year ago and LOVE it! It is hypoallergenic and I think its the only drug store brand that is…
