- Wedding: September 2016 - State Park
Below are the centerpieces we plan on using, except we will put peonies, tulips and hydrangeas in the mason jars instead of the babies breath.
Can we then use mason jars for the drinking glasses?
We are doing a BBQ and thought the mason jars could double as favors but now I’m thinking it’ll be too much.

the answer to your question depends on a lot of variables. Drinking out of mason jars has never been enjoyable to me but to each his own. I would fill the jars with candy and use them as a favor that way.

I think mason jars as drinking glasses is a great idea! Then again, we had lots of mason jars at our wedding 🙂

peonytuliplove: I used blue vintage mason jars for my centerpieces and plain clear ones for water glasses. There are lots of other things on the table to balance it out, so I don’t think it’s too much.

peonytuliplove: What I don’t like about drinking out of mason jars… I like to maybe not drink the same thing all night. But I don’t want to use the same cup if I’m switching from wine to margarita or scotch on the rocks… I find drinking out of mason jars kinda sticky and yucky if you have to use the same one all night. I’d rather just have plastic disposable bar ware (what we did) then have to use the same jar all night. And aestheticallys speaking I think you are right it can be “too many mason jars”
