@BurlapAndLace:

The birdhouse centerpieces are adorable!  This might seem like a silly question, but what color stain did you use?  I’m doing something similar and can’t get the color just right.  Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a question for any ladies that have done mason jars as centerpieces in their weddings.  I am looking to do this and am collecting 1 oz. antique blue jars.  I’m just wondering how many stems (approx.) did you use in each jar?  I’m looking to buy flowers for the centerpeices bulk online and and I just need to know how much to buy.  Thank you!!

Here are some I’ve made so far. These will be displayed on the mantle over a fireplace we are getting married in front of. Some will have candles in them, others will have flowers.

(I have modified a few of them since, I will update photos soon)

These are so cute! I am doing the same for my wedding in october. Can I ask tho, what did you use to put in the bottle of the jars that the candle sat on and how did they burn? I’ve heard that certain things will catch on fire if you use them as a filler and other things will just melt and the colors will blend. I love the purple and the grey together.

I love this thread.  lol, I’m sitting here sighing all happily at all these great ideas.

We’re using them to hold our bouquets before and after the ceremony.  We’re making a wish jar guestbook w/a huge mason jar to hold all the wish cards.  We’re using them for a few floral centerpieces.  They were on our invites.  Oh shoot, what else…lol I dunno.  I’m using them as much as humanly possible because I love them.

2013 is the 100 year anniversary of Jarden Ball mason jars and so they have come  out with a package of 6 pint size BLUE jars for about $10. I found them at  Sears. Get them while they last!
