I was working on my program last night and have no idea where to put the offering to Mary. Does it come before or after the marriage blessing? I also wanted to knwo how much info everyone is putting in their programs. If I were to included details about each part it would be a book! Ideas please 🙂

- Wedding: June 2010 - Ceremony - First United Methodist Church; Reception - My parents' house!
I’m not Catholic, but whenever I go to a Catholic service, I’m totally lost! All the standing, sitting, saying things at certain times– I feel so out of the loop. Personally, I think it would be really special and great for your non-Catholic guests to briefly explain the big things that they/you’re doing.

Are you doing a full mass? If so the weddings I have been to have done it after communion.
If you are just doing the ceremony then I think you do it after your vows.

I did a ceremony outside of Mass and ours was after the exchange of vows and rings.

we are having an Eastern Orthodox Catholic Mass and since my family is mostly Christian or Roman Catholic, I had to put together something close to a Missalette! hehe. yeah….its about 10 pages (yes i said ten) long. both Roman and Eastern Catholic masses have too much tradition and ceremony not to explain it to your guests. Especially since its all so meaningful! However, if you talk to your coordinator, they will help you trim it down! I think i had like 14 pages in the beginning (on 5.5 x7.5 paper!) and my church coordinator was like “you don’t need to put that, this, that, etc!
