Ridiculous question here.
Has anyone had to have their back essentially massaged into their dress?
I’m not overweight, but I had some padding sewn in the front and now I have to have my back skin massaged into the back of the dress to prevent it from hanging over. Is this normal or does that mean my dress is way too tight?

I’m guessing this is kind of the same idea as sucking your gut in to fit into pants? I haven’t had to do the backside but that’s not to say I don’t do it for bottoms 😛

ktmcgwvu08: is it possible to have the dress taken out a bit? If you don’t normally have back fat, it sounds like the dress is too tight. You will be more comfortable and confident if it fits correctly instead of squishing into something too tight

I think it’s likely not fitted or laced properly if it’s doing that. I have known of a few brides with the back podge thing, and tying it properly usually eliminated the issue.

ktmcgwvu08: I would say the dress is either too tight, or cut wrong. There was a post a while ago about lowering the back of a dress just a little bit to eliminate back fat. This might make it fit better and be more comfortable.
Here is the original thread I was thinking of. The pics that were on it aren’t showing up for me, but I’m on my phone so maybe its my device.
