Lots of YouTube videos on this. Check there.  There’s also a YouTuber named Lori hill ( not sure how she spells her first name you’ll have to look her up) and she does videos on plastic surgery and many of the people she talks about have had it done. Apparently is very common.

@rockymtnbee:  oh yeah I see.  I haven’t had that part of my face done. Just a bit around my eyes. I guess I’m not much help. Sorry bee!

I regularly get botox in various locations of my face and decided a few months ago to get some in my jaw for grinding. It made a HUGE difference. I noticed within a week that I couldn’t clench my jaw as tightly and evidence of night grinding went waaay down. No issues with chewing at all. I definitely think my jaw line was slightly slimmed but my jaw muscles were not that prominent so it’s not that noticeable.

as far as units, I believe she did 4 on each side. So not a huge amount so a very significant difference!

@rockymtnbee:  I liked it. Last time I did some was in November.  I could go do a dash more sometime soon. I learned I like the lines under my eyes gone. I also tend towards leaving a bit of the crease/smile line right on the corner of my eyes. It looks natural that way on me. I don’t like to have absolutely nothing because then I feel like my smile is compromised.

@AOriver !

I got a pretty minimal amount injected into my masseters and definitely don’t clench anywhere near as tight as I used to. Huge improvement.

I also see some slimming of my face, it is a subtle change but I definitely notice it in pictures when smiling as well as when my face is relaxed / normal. I didn’t see the change in my face, however, for probably a good 3 to 4 weeks (it takes some time for the muscles to fully relax). I’ll keep an eye on it and likely do it again in a few months when I notice my clenching coming back.

I’m actually getting this done on Tuesday. I have my jaw adjusted by a chiro weekly, and have actually broken my tooth guard by grinding too hard in my sleep…..so fingers crossed this helps!

@missexcited1985:  I’d really love to hear how you find it if you felt like posting an update once it’s done? Botox will be my next step in trying to alleviate my tmj issues too.
