Hi brides ! Can anyone please give me some advice of they think this matches- I want to do a fun shoe for all my girls I just can’t tell if it’s too funky. I originally wanted to do a burgundy shoe to match the groomsmens ties (burgundy tie, charcoal tux) but for such a light dress I think I can’t. I found this cute grey shoe- do you think it matches? I just don’t want to do the (pretty but) typical strappy high heel.bi want to go for a more vintage glam look!

I think it would look fine. However, are you making them pay for the shoes or are you paying? If you are making them pay, I’d look for a cheaper shoe. That seems pretty high to me for a shoe I didn’t get to pick out and that I’d probably never wear again. In my opinion, rather then making them all wear the same shoe, just giving them a color to find is much nicer. Then some girls who might not want to wear heels can find some cute flats. They can also put the money into something they might wear again.

I think the burgundy would look much better than matchy-matchy.
There’s also a lot of options besides “typical strappy” heels. I personally like almond toe shoes or peep toe shoes with short dresses.

I don’t think that is a style of shoe that is comfortable for all ladies to walk around in. In all honesty, no one notices the bridesmaids’ shoes. It’s about as insignificant a detail as it could possibly be. And because no one notices (or cares), it doesn’t make sense to invest a lot of time, money or energy into the shoes. Pick a very basic shoe color (hint: everyone owns black shoes and they look great with just about anything) and let the ladies choose what their feet will be shoved in all day long.

To answer the question you asked: eek, no I don’t think suede ever goes with chiffon, and the colors are too close and matchy. I’d go with black or nude, and not suede.
To answer the one you didn’t ask: I think you should pick a color and style (nude pumps, silver ballet flats, eg) and let them pick. I think some personal touches and flair looks good actually. Just my two cents!

I think your first instinct was right: burgundy; it will add depth and interest to a neutral such as the color of your BMs dress. You could suggest to your BMs styles such as these; their price is reasonable, and BMs who like high heels have an option, as well as those who prefer lower heels.
