I don’t like matching dresses for the bride and flowergirl. Flowergirls are little girls and not mini brides

This has become a trend nowadays.

I had my flower girl wear a very similar dress – just happened to find it online and it matched super well. But it is in a style that’s better for a little girl – it has spaghetti straps and came with a little jacket to cover up with.  Both she and I loved it!  She felt like a princess all day 🙂

It’s cute but I’d add straps. I hate little girls being dressed as adults.

My four year old niece is my Flower Girl and although her dress isn’t a “mini-version of mine” it is a princess dress. And I think it will be cute to have her hair the same as mine.

Ukulele4You :  The more you know. I did not know that. My only experience with that culture is My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on TLC. Was unaware that a show of that notority and on such a well-known network would use a slur in their show title.

Not sure why you didn’t also include malgor : in your post.

courtneysokal :  @Malgor My guess is that they use the word since people know it. If it was “My Big Fat Roma Wedding” people would be confused. The show is nothing like being Roma. I figured you did not know. Just an FYI. I really hate that word and I really hate that show. Most people have no idea how offensive both are.

Ukulele4You :  sorry, wasn’t meaning to call anyone names, I was referring to the tv show specifically

I would never refer to a person as a gypsy, being irish myself I’ve been called it as a slur, had the show been called my big fat Roma wedding that’s what I would have said. I have family members who are Irish travellers. Apologies if I offended but I really wasn’t name calling

lahela017 :  Thanks so much! She just loved it and was twirling in it all day, which made it even cuter. 🙂
