we chose matching bands. It was really important to me. the only difference is the width (his is thicker than mine). For a Jewish wedding, you need a solid gold band without embellishments so I wasn’t going to get a diamond band to match my engagement ring at this point anyways (maybe for an anniversary).

Our rings are Cartier. Their website seems a little weird right now so hopefully this will work: http://www.bridal.cartier.us/bridal/the-collection/wedding-bands/emblematic-wedding-rings/3-golds/b4052100-trinity-wedding-band

Darling Husband decided he didn’t want diamonds in his band so he got what he wanted. The golds match, but the bands themselves do not. I wanted teh matchy matchy aspect, but he hated the cleaning aspect of his. He just wanted a simple band so that is what he ended up getting. I will post pics later when I can.

Honestly I only wear yellow gold. White gold does not look good with my skin tone and Dh did want the metals to match. We had our rings custom made by a friend. We were able to pick anything that we wanted. I could have gone for an estate piece if I wanted. But I wanted this jeweler to make our wedding set.

Well….we thought about it – I thought it would be romantic to have matching ones with engraving inside…

But he wanted something darker (tungsten because it doesn’t scratch as easily and he says he won’t appreciate gold – I think it’s just bc he wont’ feel bad if he loses it).

So he bought 2 (LOL).

I’m still picking mine — I have no idea…probably a thin micro pave white gold band Undecided I haven’t found anything that matches my e-ring yet *tear*

@naturalysam:

I’ve never heard of taking it off with floss…

Well…we know for a fact that there are two hospitals with laser cutters that can cut that thing off if need be in IL…lol.  But I hear you, I hope that never has to happen 🙂

We’re not getting precisely matching rings, but ours sort of echo each other.
