My dress is ivory, but we’re doing white shirt and ivory vest/tie for my Fiance.  The main tailor at the tux shop (who’s been in the business for 20+ years) suggested it and said that the difference between the white and ivory isn’t going to be noticeable.  That made me feel a lot better about the whole thing.  I’d been stressing about it.

Maybe talk to the people at the store you’re getting the tuxes from and see what they suggest?

My dress was a light ivory and I went with white shirts on the men.  The ivory dress shirts looked like a dingy dirty yellow.  Your dress will show up lighter in photos, anyway.  I’d go with what you think will look best on the guys, and usually that means a white shirt.  The whole dress color/shirt color issue isn’t really as big of a deal as some people make it out to be.
