Ours didn’t match. We did a STD that just had a few of our engagement photos, and then the writing with our names, date, and location in a purple color because that’s one of our wedding colors. Our invites will be predominately purple, so they are coordinated in that way. I don’t think they have to match at all, but you can at least keep them semi-coordinated by sticking to your color scheme for your wedding, and/or going simple with the STD. STD’s are generally a lot more casual anyway.

Thanks everyone! And shoutout to my fellow type A bees who understand why I wanted them to match initially lol. But now that I think about it, it might be nice to mix it up a bit and still keep everything the same general style. Excited for this first step of planning here!

Noone would notice/care/remember if they match or not but you can play with two different styles. In fact after looking at all the beautiful invitations online i’m just feeling like one set of invitations was not enough to satisfy me fully))))

All that matters is that you love it! No one else is going to care. I went nuts on my invitations but I just love paper goods in general and it was one of the few things I was super particular about
