What is the best match for a “Candlelight” color silk Martina Liana gown? I have the silk one in style 344. Would I just have my fiance wear white or some type of ivory?
Thanks for any input.

Men can look like they are playing dress-up in a white or ivory tux.
This is from a blog entry about how to wear a tux:
Thou shall not match one’s tuxedo or associated accessories with the attire of his date. It does not matter what your date says, the purpose of your tuxedo is not to match or compliment her dress. Thou is meant to look stunning in one’s own right, changing one’s attire to suit her will only detract from the integrity of one’s tuxedo.
Are you wearing the black sash with your dress? I think your groom would look stunning wearing a black tuxedo.
If you are wearing a beaded sash, I would suggest grey.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, I definitely want to go with a black tux. I just wanted to know if he can wear a true white tie and shirt or do I have to go more ivory because of the “candlelight” color of the dress?
Also, I’m wondering if I can go with a true white veil. Any thoughts?

@ladybugbride215: I honestly couldn’t get a pic good enough to see what color silk candlelight is, so I don’t think I can comment on the veil.
I will say that he definitely can and should wear a white shirt. For most of the wedding day (until late in the evening when the guys take off their jackets) his shirt will not be directly against your dress. Ivory shirts can have a yellowish tinge and look dingy. Nothing look sbette than a crsip white shirt with a black tux.
