- Wedding: September 2014
So, as I have posted a few times before I have been searching high and low for a wedding band to go with my e-ring. Part of my difficulty is that it has a slight swirl on one side, so straight bands look just weird as it sits flush on one side, and has a gap on the other. Also, I suffer from ring envy- my ring is 0.6tcw and I want it to look bigger on my finger. Thus, resulting in my unsuccessful search to find a ring to help my sprakly POP and enhance it.
Peoples called today, the matching wedding band that the manufacturer makes is $1200!!! Thats more than what Fiance paid for my ering. Worse yet, they want me to pay a 10% deposit for the ring, and all they have for me to look at is a fuzzy faxed drawing of what the wedding band looks like.
There is another bridal set that I LOVE, and we could spend the same amount of $1200 by trading in my ring, plus paying $1200 out of pocket. But I don’t want to upset my Fiance, so I am trying to make my ring work.
a.) put the deposit on the ring that goes with my ering
b.) go with an enhancer? (still trying to find one I can try on in person, they aren’t as popular in Canada it seems!)
c.) talk to Fiance about the bridal set? (But I feel like there would be social repercussions to this…)
My ring is important to me- I LOVE jewelery, sparkly things, and I want it to wow me. I don’t think it is a bad thing, and I completely appreciate the effort my Fiance has put into surprising me. I just wish it would have been more practical!
