I’d go for a row of diamonds in a slightly thicker band in platinum. But that’s me! Anything goes, as long as it makes you happy!

@tina91:  I have no advice (sorry) but there have been a lot of gorgeous cushions coming up on these boards lately. I notice bc I absolutely love admiring cushion cuts from afar since I don’t have one! Definitely scroll through some older threads for inspiration! Hopefully one of those people sees yours.

Your engagement ring is perfect for pretty much any wedding band that you want!

Personally, I am a fan of going a little thicker and blingy when you have a plain band, but you can go with yellow gold if you want.  Anything will match with your ring.

Love your ring! Cushion cuts are my favorite! I wish I would’ve gone with a solitaire, I have a halo surrounding mine. My wedding band was custom made to match my ring. If I had a solitaire I would still pick the same size band I have now which is similar to the band size of your ER, I’ll see if I can find the size I have. Here is a photo for reference.

You have a beautiful ring!  Mine is similar, but it is a princess cut solitaire with platinum band. I recently had it reset into this new band which is about 1.5 mm and I love how dainty it looks. I paired it here with a half eternity micro pave diamond band that is also about 1.5 mm and I love the added sparkle, but it is also very dainty and delicate and doesn’t take away from my princess diamond.  I think any band would look nice with your ring – solitaires go with everything!  🙂

I have a cushion on a thicker plain band and I paired it up with a thicker blingy band.

@tina91:  yes!  They are scattered baquettes.  Some are straight and some are tapered.

Go with what you love – that’s all that matters.  Our jeweler threw a hissy fit because I was mixing a yellow gold wedding ring with a white gold e-ring, but too bad – I’m the one wearing it and that’s what I wanted so that’s what I got, so I just ignored the horrified squeakings about the metals not ‘matching’.

@tina91: thank you!!! ok it is a 1.5 mm full eternity band! If yours is 1.7, I would definitely recommend getting that same size band but personal preference of course. I’m ocd so I have to have things match which is why I had it custom made to match my wedding ring. Yes, the jeweler we got my ring from sent it to Simon G and had them make it to match exactly! Simon G does beautiful work and they can pretty much customize your rings and the quality is amazing. I’ve never had any of my small diamonds fall out and have had it for 6 years and I’m not easy on my hands. https://simongjewelry.com/
