My boobs have already grown two cups sizes (16wks1d). I just went and got regular bras in the new sizes that way I wouldn’t be too upset when they grow more….which I think I’m about to get NEW bras because they’ve grown AGAIN!

At my breastfeeding class, the lactation consultant advised not getting any nursing bras until your milk comes in a few days after you give birth because a lot of times, your boobs grow even more. That way you are not stuck with bras you can’t return or have wasted that money. I’m waiting to get those bras until later. I did get a sleep bra which is a sleep/nursing bra and that’s been amazing to sleep in and totally worth getting now if your chest is really sore when you are sleeping.

OP, what Roxy said on the nurserying bras for waiting until your milk comes in.  For me I bought nurserying bras and sports bras.  I also would just recommend getting bigger bras for right now.

I bought new bras around 8 weeks – but just went with a nude and a black one because I anticipated the boobs getting bigger. And at 28 weeks, I had to go up another size because my ribcage has started to expand. Again, just getting 2 bras, in case I need to up it again in the next 12 weeks. Look for sales and maybe ask about getting extenders, so if your ribcage expands without your cup size going up, you can continue to use the same bras.
