I’m interested to know as well.  I picked up a few clearance items to have on hand since I’ve heard you wake up one day and nothing fits.  I have one pair of jeans with a smaller band (more just for stretch) and I picked up a pair of jeans & a pair of capris that have a full stretchy belly panel.  I know the smaller band jeans won’t last my whole pregnancy, but I imagine I might use them postpartum.

I’ve been getting things in my size.  I noticed after wearing them for a few hours they loosen up a bit (I’ve been drying them in the dryer) so I’ll likely do the same thing with my maternity jeans that I do with my regular ones:  when they start to get snug, stop putting them in the dryer!

I think everyone is different.  I’m only 24w at this point, but I still wear the same size 6 in maternity clothes as I did in regular clothes.  I’d be really hapy if it stayed that way, lol.  I’ve only gained in my belly so far.

I’m 21 weeks and only belly but another girl I work with went up a size because she gained some in the thighs.  I think as PP said, it is different for everyone.

My sizing has all been smaller for maternity clothes, but I’m guessing that is more because maternity is womens and I was wearing juniors clothing (jeans were all from PacSun). Since I bought them I have definitely grow, but it’s all been in the belly.

The biggest issue I had with maternity clothes, especially pants, is they were always bunching around the waist area. It looked horrible. At just about 24 weeks these still fit fine (purchased 6 weeks or so ago), and really, unless my butt gets huge, there is no reason I would need see a need to go a size up.

Shirts are another issue. If these boobs don’t stop growing, I’ll be buying new shirts all winter long.

I’ve grown almsot exclusively in the tummy (oh, and the boobies). My hips may be spreading, but I’m not really noticing it. I’ve been wearing the same maternity clothing the entire time. I’m 29 weeks now.

I was a size 4 when I got pregnant and got all smalls. I wore the same clothes/size from week 10 to about week 36. I have gained some weight in my butt so I know longer fit into my jeans but am okay in dress pants that have a little give. I’m 39w 4d and mostly wear leggining and dresses, still size small.

Can I just say I’m uber jealous of those of you who had your boobs grow?  Mine were swollen in the first trimester, but it went away and I’m at my normal size now.  Sad face.

@SimplyChic11:  I caved and went to Destination Maternity. Wound up trying a pair of Motherhood jeans in a size small in a bootcut fit I believe. Only pair that actually fit me properly. Nothing at Old Navy would fit! I bought one pair for now and maybe around Christmas I’ll buy another. Sure, I wear them daily, but I try to wash them 2x a week. Yea, I’m terrible, but at $50 a pair I’ll make it work!

@morkiemama:  I’d give you mine if I could. I’ve gone up 2 full cup sizes, and I swear they are still growing. It’s so uncomfortable and I can’t even wear half my old shirts because my boobs stretch them too much. I had to give up my cami’s and buy maternity tank tops, as all the cami’s had built in bras which did not fit anymore!

I bought my first pair of maternity pants early because I was so bloated. I lost 10lbs so the maternity pants are now pretty baggy on me. I’ve decided to just wait and see where I grow.

And a good find yesterday! Ross, the discount store, has maternity clothes!!

I grew 2 sizes all over when I was pregnant, even my feet. My maternity jeans were a little baggy at the beginning when I bought them and they were tight at the end. I bought 2 pairs and wore them the whole time! Full-panel end up being MUCH, MUCH more comfortable in the long run, also. I could never get the underbelly ones to stay up.

I have gained weight exclusively in the tummy.
The full panel pants & jeans fit exactly the same at 33 weeks as they did when I bought them at 10 weeks.

The demi-band shorts and pants that I bought at 10 weeks no longer fit, but the band is not as stretchy as the full panel.
