This is a non-pregnancy dilemma that I also have, and I wondered if it would go away once I was shopping for maternity clothes…but alas, nope! I’m 5″1, and I have short legs which are pretty sturdy. I am gifted with a bubble butt, and I have a tiny waist, in non pregnancy times. I generally don’t exist to fashion designers. My measurements tend to put me dramatically between sizes, because I am an extreme hourglass. Now that I am pregnant I’m realizing that I still don’t exist to designers-at least not to the two places I’ve shopped so far 😉 which are Motherhood Maternity and Target. I’m wondering if there are any other hourglass/curvy/ideally short (but I’ll hem if I need to) ladies who have clothing recommendations? I hate shopping online, but accept that I will probably have to. Any recommendations?

I got some great curvy maternity clothes via stitch fix. Otherwise I kept my eyes out for tops with ruched sides, leggings, and wraps dresses. Gap had some good stuff too. I hear ya on the small waist vs round booty… i found that a lot of the motherhood maternity pants would just slide down and get stuck on my low hips….

I’m pretty curvy and had OK luck with MM- Gap had some good pants as did Old Navy. That said, I wore a LOT of dresses because it just made me feel better (and look better)- or leggings with long sweaters/dresses (in the winter). I also hemmed all of my maternity pants or bought capri’s (that were nearly full length on me). Congratulations!

cclarkrun1 : I think that’s what I’ll end up doing as well. I feel and look better in dresses as well! Thank you.
