I’m confused. But if the dress is already ordered maybe they can exchange or alter it?

@nleemd:  How far along is she? It might be ok. Who is the designer? What style is the dress?

The dress should fit with an empire waist. I had to buy my bridesmaid dress for a June 2014 wedding already and since im getting married in July 2013 i ordered big just in case we hitch a ride on the baby train.

One of my BMs is due on our wedding day. So, as long as she ordered big, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Well if she planned it when ordering the dress, don’t worry about it. If it’s empire waist I feel like they should be able to work with it if necessary.

Your pictures will still be incredibly beautiful with your sister in a coordinating Maid/Matron of Honor dress.  Don’t overthink the dress thing – it will be beautiful.  Since she is your Maid/Matron of Honor, it is fairly common for them to be in a different but coordinating dress.

Call the place you ordered it from and they should be able to order you extra fabric and then you can have the dress altered. My bestie had the same problem with one of her bridesmaids and that’s what they had to do.
