Has anyone bought one of those mattress in a box. They’re shipped in a box and take shape once taken out of plastic. Any good/ bad experiences? Any worth recommending? I’m considereing getting one for our guest bedroom.

Are you talking about the GhostBed? My friends (both on the skinny side, the couple combind is definitely under 230lbs) have one and absolutely love it, but I have read some mixed reviews. If you are on the heavier side, the matress isn’t very supportive.

My fiance and I have a Leesa – it’s been awesome so far! Would definitely recommend it!

Lots of memory foam mattresses come in boxes now so if you’re looking for something specific you’ll need to let us know. I got a mattress through Sam’s for myself and Fiance and a mattress through Walmart for the guest bedroom and both were memory foam, packaged rolled in a box.
No complaints on either but nothing to write home about either. They smelled strongly of plastic and needed to be aired out.

I ordered a mattress from Sleepy’s. It’s a memory gel mattress. It came rolled up in a box. It took about a day to fluff up after I took it out of the box. I love it, it is awesome. They usually have good labor day sales. I got mine 1/2 off last labor day.

I 2nd what gatsbybride2016 :
said. I bought memory foam mattresses at Sam’s for all 5 bedrooms in our home. The kids love theirs. I ended up adding another topper to ours but we are both heavier. I’m 170lbs and 5’4″ and Fiance is 6’4″ and 280lbs.

We just bought a Leesa and love it!

We’ve had a Leesa for about a year and a half. It’s a bit firmer than expected, but we have been happy with it. We sleep better than we did before.

Many beds that are made of gel and/or memory foam are sold this way, they will vary in price/quality just like most products.
DH and I bought a cheap gel/memory foam mattress from Amazon and it’s great for now. We bought it with the intention of replacing it in about a year in case we didn’t like it. Just make sure it’s returnable in case you’re unhappy.
Mattresses in general will feel very different to different people based on how you sleep, height, weight, etc.

We also have a leesa and love it but its a two person job to get a memory foam or any mattress from a box out of all the plastic and into the bed.

I got one from Walmart a few years ago and it was awesome! I was incredibly nervous because it was a mattress in a box and it came from Walmart. But the reviews were good so I risked it. Turned out to be a great purchase. It was a twin for a small guest room and served its purpose well. It’s now at my parents house and my nephew sleeps on it once a week. I’d recommend it!

We have a Casper that we love. It took me a while to get used to it, but I find it quite comfortable now.

We bought an 8″ memory foam king-size matress from Amazon (for only $250!), and it is AMAZING! I used to have neck/back pain sometimes, and it went away when we got this mattress.
We also own a twin size 6″ memory foam mattress from the same company, and it is great, but not quite as supportive.

Edited to add: they ship in a box, and we left them to air out and fluff up for 24 hours before sleeping on them.

I have a king-sized Leesa. I loved it, but after almost a year I feel like I want to add a topper.
