I have a Simmons that I’ve been really happy with.  It is a mid-range model we paid like $900 something for a queen so it’s not a top end-model.  It’s more firm than soft, which is what I like. I’m not into the super soft pillowtop thing which is popular now. We’ve had it 3 years so far and no sagging or anything it feels just like when we bought it.

I know what you mean about reviews – it’s impossible to draw any valid conclusions. It is also impossible to find accurate reviews on specific models, because the mattress companies change the names of the models periodically and also from store to store (not sure if this is the case with companies like Tempurpedic or Sleep number but I know it’s the case with the “traditional” mattress companies).

You’re right – it’s all subjective. But we have a Serta Perfect Sleeper, and I’m in love with it. It is so comfortable and yet so supportive at the same time. And pretty reasonably priced!

I don’t care about brands, but I looooooove memory foam. I’m hoping someone gets the mattress off of our registry.

I’ve got a Serta pillowtop that is very firm under the pillowtop. It’s a great matress that has gotten me through a couple of back injuries. Fiance has a sleep number and he’s always trying to steal my bed because it’s more comfy than his (we sleep in separate twin beds for now)

i’ve got a serta i-comfort. it’s similar to tempur pedic but not as stiff. it’s made out of memory gel as opposed to memory foam so it doesn’t get hot. i love it!! super comfy. we splurged and got the “ergonomic” base which moves and massages. totally worth it. i would highly recommend

@aislebound:  We sleep on the mattress my husband had when we  moved in together, which is a pillow top innerspring. My mattress, a hybrid, got put in the guest room. I love my mattress a thousand times better, even though it is from Walmart and his is a better brand. I am hoping that once this mattress wears out we will get a king sized hybrid or memory foam. Everyone who sleeps on my hybrid mattress mentions how great it is. My in laws went and bought a memory foam topper for their bed after they stayed with us. Darling Husband weighs about 60 pounds more than me and tends to sleep towards the middle, which means I am sleeping on the side of a hill with the spring mattress 🙁

Oops, I voted Sealy but ours is Serta. It’s one from the Vera Wang collection (is there anything she doesn’t put her name on?). I believe it’s the kind with the individually wrapped coils. We love it!

We bought this Beautyrest mattress and absolutely love it! The other mattresses we tried in the store were too soft. This one had just the right amount of support without being too firm. I’d highly recommend it!

We bought a memory foam mattress on AMazon. It’s the same foam densities/thickness of a Tempurpedic but like 1/4 the cost. Has held up perfectly for years, too! Love it!

@aislebound:  my fiance and I purchased a king size Simmons beautyrest mattress in October. It’s been great so far! We got the firm pillowtop and at first I was nervous it was too firm but it quickly softened up after a couple weeks. Now it’s perfect. It was a midrange line, I thought it was the beautyrest elite line but I can’t find it anymore online so not sure if they replaced it with something else. Macys furniture had a great selection of mattresses to try. I purchased elsewhere but I tried them all out there. Good luck!
