Not sure what the price is per night, but the Grand Wailea is gorgeous.

My hubby and I stayed at the Westin for our entire 6 night stay on Maui. The pools are fab! The buffet is amazing! And it’s right next to Whaler’s Village and the boardwalk, with lots of yummy restaurants. Kaanapali beach is super fantastic; great snorkeling at Black Rock. We loved it! Plus, the beds were awesome! lol.

I’VE BEEN TO THE FOUR SEASOSN!!!!!! it’s amazing……. – I don’t know, it had a really classy feel to it. I know 2000 for two people for only 3 nights is a bit much, but if isn’t *that* much of a problem, I’d say go for it, because 1) it’s totally worth it and 2) how many honeymoon will you have? – why not just treat yourselves to that little extra bit of luxury at probably one the best holiday IN YOUR LIFE?

ps, I promise, I’m not working for them or anything ¬.¬

My husband and I went to Maui and the Big Island for 12 days in October.  On Maui we stayed at the Westin Villas in Kannapali and also the Fairmont in Wailea.  We didn’t love Wailea, but we did LOVE LOVE LOVE the Kannapali coast.  I don’t know the full cost of the Westin (my SIL works for them – F&F rate), but it’s gorgeous and like another poster pointed out, the pools and food and grounds are all fabulous.

Good Luck.

Definitely make sure to check out the Hotel Wailea. Its set off the beach, and its actually perched up on the mountain (only a .5 mile to the beach). Its such a beautiful hotel and its very quiet. They only have about 72 rooms, and even when they are fully packed it feels like a exclusive resort. I was able to get a package for 7 days under $200 a night. Don’t let the location of being off from the beach be a decision maker.. I thought I would have a problem with this as well, but the walk to the beach is very nice and they have a dedicated shuttle if you don’t want to drive to the beach. I didn’t even notice the inconvienance.

Although it is on the other side of the island than the Four Seasons, the Ritz in Kapalua is just breathtaking! We stayed there for our honeymoon and loved it. We also drove to have lunch at the Four Seasons and obviously it is super nice but in all honesty, I liked the physical layout of the Ritz more. It truly felt like a secluded paradise even though Lahaina and the Whalers village are a short drive. The pool is incredible! People will tell you it is rainier on that side of the island but we went early June and had awesome weather…not a single drop of rain. Also, right there at the hotel was ziplining, hiking, and all kinds of outdoorsy stuff. They offer romance packages that include breakfast and a resort credit so it was actually a great value too.
